Fashion is contagious and addictive, isn’t it? As we bid farewell to winter, and ditch our warm fuzzy clothes, there are some major fashion trends 2017 is picking up.
Everything from sorbet shades and cold shoulders to animal patterns and metallic is in vogue. And when it comes to being hand-in-hand with trends, we always look up to our beloved TV actors and actresses, don’t we?
That is why, TellyChakkar spoke to some of your favourite TV celebs to know which trends are getting them excited about summer. To know more, read on..
Television’s one of the most celebrated actress, Rashami Desai who is currently seen as Shorvori in Colors TV’s Dil Se Dil Tak says, “I love pastel colours in summer, I always prefer wearing dresses.” When asked why, she said, “Softer shades make you look fresh and young.” Her go-to fashion brands are Koovs and Zara. The one extinct trend Rashami wants back is Mumtaaz-style sarees.
Shafaq Naaz who plays the bubbly Mayuri Gomukh on SAB TV’s Chidiya Ghar opts for comfort fashion. “I avoid jeans and go for short dresses and sneakers in summer. I’m crazy about shoes and my wardrobe is filled with whites. Tube tops and shorts are the coolest combination for me.” Her favourite brands are Zara and Mango. The one trend Shafaq misses is that of capri pants.
Rubina Dilaik who is seen as Soumya in Color TV’s Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki prefers cotton over anything in summer. “I like shirt dresses and cold shoulders and flared bottoms. I am not a brand person, anything that promises good quality and my taste of style, works for me. Black dominates my wardrobe.” The one trend Rubina misses and would love bringing back in trend is the sheer kurta style first worn by Madhuri Dixit in Dil Toh Pagal Hai.
Vaishali Takker who shot to fame with her role as Anjali on Color TV’s Sasural Simar Ka loves to keep different combinations in her wardrobe. “I am totally in love with off-shoulder maxi dresses and otherwise I wear Patiala paired with spaghetti or long tops. Comfort and confidence is what I prefer. In summer, I only wear cool pastel shades and white dominates my wardrobe. A white t-shirt and denims will never fail you in this heat.” The one trend Vaishali wants back is that of harem pants.
Simran Kaur Hundal, telly towns’ sizzling girl who was recently seen in Diljit Dosanjh’s hit music video ‘Laembadgini’ says she just can’t get over black and white. “My fashion choices are very basic but basic never lets you down. I always feel like trying new quirky trends but simple clothes are the best in summer according to me. The more you jazz it up, the more uncomfortable it might make you.” Simran feels the Anarkali suit trend shouldn’t have gone out of fashion because it was very feminine.
Woaaah!! Exciting, isn’t it
